We are a Christian charitable organisation working primarily in the UK and Uganda, dedicated to supporting local communities as they rebuild following decades of civil strife. We accomplish this through support for ongoing initiatives in education, health care, Christian ministry and many more.

What we stand for

Janani Luwum’s legacy is one of Christian love and active community participation. We therefore believe that irrespective of the challenges faced by communities, there is a richness of energy, creativity and talent. What is lacking are the necessary tools required by people to stand on their own feet.

For the community

We are committed to supporting initiatives that break the cycle of poverty and ensure that local voices are heard in the planning and delivery of services for the benefit of all.

Education

Education is essential to achieving a higher quality of life and general community welfare. Many communities in Africa find it difficult to access quality education due to poverty, violent conflict and a myriad of other issues. The Trust has continued to support education in Uganda and we welcome partnership opportunities with individuals and institutions who are in a position to assist.

Health

We believe in improving the lives of communities through better health. Women are the gatekeepers to their communities’ health. Unsurprisingly, women and children are more vulnerable to ill health in Africa. Conflict, low income and social status, lack of education and traditional gender roles and responsibilities are key contributing factors.
